Hello from the other side
(the side where productivity goes to die)
Hey, my friends! It's been a while—six months, in fact.
What have I been doing with all that time? Well, I released The Girlie Pop Murder Club: Dead Girl Summer (book 1.5 in the series), a delightfully non-canonical story about your favorite murder besties dealing with the zombie apocalypse in STYLE.
Other than that? A whole lot of "creative avoidance."
I've been deep in craft mode—bedazzling books, making tiny treasures, crocheting blankets. The whole hands-busy, mind-quiet thing. For me, this was exactly the break I needed. When my head becomes too much of a tangled mess to deal with, I turn to making things with my hands. Is it therapeutic? Absolutely. Is it also running away from my problems? Also absolutely. But hey, it's not meth!
I'm slowly easing my way back into the writing world, taking it at my own pace. I'm not fully ready yet, and I'm okay with that. The words and stories will be there when I am ready for them.
But I am coming back. And with that comeback come some exciting new projects, plus finishing up some beloved old ones—like the second Girlie Pop book and the next installment in my kids' series.
SO STAY TUNED! Exciting things are happening.
xoxo,
Ember
Thanks for sticking with me through the creative hibernation. You're the best.

I’m so ready for GP2 and the second book in your kid’s series!
